Broadcasting from the
Black Hills
Outpost Media is the media network cannabis deserves — built from a barn in Custer, South Dakota, powered by AI, and designed to scale like software.
THE BARN Studios
Our headquarters sits on a 15-acre campus in Custer, South Dakota — 20 minutes from Mount Rushmore, an hour from the Badlands, and surrounded by 1.2 million acres of Black Hills National Forest. We call it the wildest office in America because it is.
THE BARN is a converted production facility housing podcast studios, video production rooms, streaming infrastructure, and the AI systems that power our content pipeline. Six distinct spaces support every phase of production.

Why AI-First Media
vs Rooster Teeth
Same multi-brand model — comedy, gaming, podcasts, events, merch. Rooster Teeth had 400 employees and burned through $100M+. The model was brilliant. 400 employees killed it. AI fixes that.
vs Jake Paul
He spent $40M building a content ranch. We built a tech campus for $2M and own the land outright. Same ambition, fraction of the cost, and we produce 9 channels instead of 1.
Every competitor either overspends on people or underspends on production. AI lets us have both — premium content at software margins.
Everything Is Content
Zero wasted moments. Every interaction at BHC generates content that feeds the network, builds the brand, and drives revenue.
Why Cannabis Deserves a Real Media Network
The cannabis industry generates over $30 billion in annual revenue. It operates in 38 states. It employs hundreds of thousands of people. And its media landscape is still stuck in 2015 — fragmented across Instagram accounts, niche podcasts, and trade publications that most operators never read.
Outpost Media was founded on a simple observation: every mature industry has a media network that defines its culture, informs its professionals, and tells its stories. Cannabis doesn't have that yet. We're building it.
But we're not building it the traditional way. No bloated production teams. No million-dollar studio leases. No talent contracts. We use AI-powered VTuber hosts, AI-assisted editing pipelines, and a production model that costs $200 per episode instead of the industry average of $2,000-$10,000.
AI-First Production
80% of our editing is handled by AI. Scripts are co-written with large language models. Motion graphics are generated procedurally. Our VTuber characters — Sage Greenleaf, Paha Sapa, and Nugget — are AI-powered personalities with consistent voices, domain expertise, and growing audiences.
The target is production margins of 94% — the kind of margin profile usually reserved for software companies, not media companies. We plan to produce 200+ episodes per year across 9 channels with a fraction of the staff a traditional network would require.

Part of Something Bigger
Outpost Media operates as a DBA (doing business as) of The Session Media LLC, and is part of the Black Hills Consortium — a 13-entity organization building a vertically integrated ecosystem across cannabis technology, media, education, real estate, and rural economic development.
The content we produce doesn't just inform — it fuels every other entity in the consortium. GrowWise Academy trains dispensary operators on the GrowWise platform. Build in Public documents the startup journey. Hometown tells the stories of the towns we're helping revitalize through Settle the West. The Session brings cannabis industry operators and investors together.
Every channel, every episode, every piece of content is a node in a larger network — one that generates attention, builds trust, and drives revenue across the entire Black Hills Consortium ecosystem.
